2. Purpose and Legal Basis

Your data is processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and all other applicable data protection laws. In general, you can use our services without providing personal data. Where personal data (such as name, address, or email address) is collected on our pages, this is done on a voluntary basis whenever possible. This data will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent. Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g., communication via email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of your data from access by third parties is technically not possible.

The following data collection is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b) and f) EU GDPR:

Server Log Files

When you visit our website or use our app, a connection is established with your device. The following information is temporarily stored in system log files and automatically collected: IP address of your device, date and time of access, name and URL of retrieved files, the website from which access was made or from which you were directed to our site (referrer URL), the browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your device, as well as the name of your internet service provider. This data is processed for the purposes of ensuring a smooth connection and maintaining system security. The connection data collected is deleted automatically and is generally not stored for more than 14 days. If the website is used improperly, log data necessary for evidence purposes will be retained until the incident is resolved.

Cookies

Our services use what are known as cookies in some areas. Cookies help make our offerings more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies,” which are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser upon your next visit. You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set, allow cookies only in individual cases, block them in specific cases or generally, and enable the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

SSL Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content—such as form entries submitted to us as the site operator—our website uses SSL encryption. When SSL encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

3. Data Sharing

Your data will only be shared with third parties if this is necessary to fulfil the intended purpose. Additionally, data may be shared with authorities based on legal obligations pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. c) and e) EU GDPR. Furthermore, we use service providers (processors) in accordance with Art. 28 EU GDPR, who may receive or have access to your data in connection with the services they provide.

Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics allows the website operator to analyze the behavior of visitors to the website. The website operator receives various usage data such as page views, duration of visit, operating systems used, and origin of the user. These data are assigned to the user’s device. No assignment to a user ID takes place.

In addition, Google Analytics can record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks. Google Analytics uses modeling techniques to supplement the collected data and applies machine learning technologies for data analysis. It uses technologies that make it possible to recognize users for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States.

Use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG. You can revoke your consent at any time. Data transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Details can be found here:

Google Tag Manager is a supporting service that processes personal data solely for technically necessary purposes. It facilitates the loading of other components that may in turn collect data. However, Google Tag Manager itself does not access this data.
